Andy Thomson
Andy Thomson is Scottish but for many years has represented England at Lawn Bowls .He is a member of Blackheath and Greenwich outdoor club and a member of Cyphers (Beckenham) indoor club and had had a very successful pairing with Gary Smith.
Andy has won eleven England titles on carpet (including the singles three years in succession). With Gary, he added the world indoor and national outdoor pairs titles, and collected a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games He also skipped England to the world outdoor fours title in Adelaide in 1996, but his greatest achievement came in 1994 and 1995, when he won back-to-back world indoor singles titles. He was the England captain at the World Championships in Ayr in 2004 and has been selected for 2006 Commonwealth Games trials.
After a gap of ten years, Andy will be the World Number One in the next indoor season. He may be an oldie but he is a real goldie.
Leo Stevenson
Leo is one of the country’s leading artists, art restorers and art historians, with a particular expertise on 17th Centaury Dutch art. Alistair Kelly
Alistair will soon be let loose as a fully fledged actor. Although at ease with any role that may come his way, he has a special talent for comedy. His recent performances have been in “Accrington Pals”, “Whose Life Is It Anyway” and “The King’s Great Matter”
Alistair is a passionate Queen’s Park Rangers fan and an expert on Hitler and Northern Ireland politics. He has a wide taste in music, from rock and roll to traditional Irish and English folk and everything in between.
Since a very young age he has campaigned for various miscarriges of Justice and at the age of fourteen was one of the leading players in the quashing of Derek Bentley’s murder conviction.
You could never be bored in Alistair’s company , he certainly is a one off.
