I was born in Kensington, London and grew up in Morden. I was educated at St Teresa’s Primary School Morden, St Catherine’s Middle School Raynes Park and the Ursuline Convent Wimbledon. I trained as a nurse, then had various clerical jobs, returned to nursing while I re-educated myself and I am now a Military Historian, researcher and writer.
I have lived in Flitwick for a number of years, a lovely town on the edge of the Bedford Estate. When I am not working I like walking, swimming, travelling, dancing camping and quizzing.
I have a simple philosophy of life: there is a queue outside the cemetery gates and we are all in it. We must make the most of everything and live our lives the best way we can, for others and ourselves. To get the most out of life we must take risks and rejection from time to time and acknowledge this.
